Construction continues at the site of the new Apache Sky Casino.
Residents of the Copper Corridor will soon have a new entertainment venue to visit – the Apache Sky Casino in the Dudleyville/Mammoth area. The San Carlos Apache Tribe is investing in the construction of a new casino for their tribe and they anticipate that the casino will open in the temporary building no later than mid January 2017.
“We are hoping for a mid December opening,” Kurt Schmidt Interim COO for Apache Gold Casino told Copper Area News.
Late summer monsoon storms have delayed some of the construction.
The tribe anticipates that the casino will have about 200 employees. The long term plan for Apache Sky includes a hotel and RV Park. The temporary building will also house a full service bar and food court park.
The majority of the needed infrastructure is being built in this first phase of construction which will allow the tribe to build the more permanent structures as the casino gains in popularity.
