The Pinal County Juvenile Court Community Advisory Board (CAB) invites all Pinal County youth to participate in their 11th Annual Character Counts Essay Contest.

This contest open to students K-12 attending public, private or charter schools and those who are home-schooled.  Students will select one of the six pillars of character to write about: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.

There will be 4 divisions for grades K – 2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.  The top 16 essay winners will be invited to a special ceremony in May at the Pinal County Superior Courthouse in Florence. All students who submit an essay will receive a Certificate of Participation. Last year the contest had over 5,000 participants throughout the county.

Entries are due by Friday, Feb. 26, 2015.  For more information and official entry form, contact Donna McBride at 520-866-4405 or DMcBride@courts.az.gov.
