According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Sept. 3

Suspicious activity was reported on the 100 block of Allen concerning rocks thrown and taunting of dogs.

Sept. 5

A verbal warning was issued for failure to use turn signal at the intersection of Alden and Tilbury.

Sept. 7

Agency assist to DPS with a report of a deer being struck by an automobile on Hwy. 177.

Sept. 8

Bernadette M. Munoz, 36 of Kearny, was arrested for theft of a laptop computer from the Kearny Police Department. She appeared before Judge Orzell and was released. The laptop was recovered from a pawn shop in the Phoenix area.

Sept. 9

A welfare check was requested on the 400 block of Essex.

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with a domestic violence call.

A neighborhood dispute was reported on the 400 block of Greenwich.

Sept. 10

Criminal damage was reported on the 400 block of Jamestown. Several windows had been broken at a residence.

Sept. 11

A set of keys were found at Ray High School and turned in at the police department.

A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with a warrant arrest.

Sept. 13

A verbal warning was issued for a headlight violation.

A verbal warning was issued for no mud flaps.

During the period of Sept 1 and Sept. 13 there were 18 ambulance runs, one information report, and one alarm drop.
