, 91, of Superior, Ariz. passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Hospice of the Valley Lund Home in Gilbert, Ariz.
Moises was born to Pedro and Luisa Delgado on Aug. 16, 1923 in Superior, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his five brothers, two sisters, and his beloved grandson, Raymond Palma III. Moises is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lilly, his sister, Otelia Castro, daughters Sandra Palma (Raymond), and Margaret Franco (Ben), and son Michael (Cheryl). He was affectionately known as “Tata Mo” to his beloved grandchildren Daniel Palma, Joanne Bonar, Brianna Franco, Jessica Delgado, Jennifer Delgado, Anthony Arroyos and Steven Granillo, as well as his 10 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Moises was a World War II Veteran, serving in the US Navy as Seaman 1st Class in the Pacific from 1944 to 1946. He was an active member of the Superior VFW and worked as a motorman for Magma Copper Company. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, and camping in his trailer during the summer months on the Fort Apache Reservation. In recent months he enjoyed tending his garden at his home in Superior. Moises will be greatly missed by all who love him, but will live on in our hearts and cherished memories.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10 a.m., Presbyterian Church, Superior, with the Funeral Service following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Superior with Military Honors. Online Guestbook: www.SuperiorFuneral.com.
