Dan Lynn Wight passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, after a long illness. Dan was born Oct. 1, 1941 in Lansing Michigan and moved to Arizona in 1953 living first in Phoenix and then in Tucson, moving to Superior later in life. He and his wife, Marilyn, owned and operated the Buckboard City Restaurant and the Worlds Smallest Museum located in Superior, Arizona.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Esther Wight; his brother James Lee Wight; and a stepson Gordon Rebholz. He leaves behind, Marilyn, his wife of 32 years; A son Joel Wight, a daughter Erika Harp; a stepson Donald Rebholz; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Jack Wight (Nellie) of Paradise Valley, Arizona; two sisters, Janet Andrews (Paul) of Payson, Arizona; and Dixie Marsh (Jim) of Simi Valley, California.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 16, at the Buckboard City Restaurant in Superior, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dan’s memory to Banner Garden Hospice House in Mesa, Arizona.
