Teresa U. Denogean, 84, passed away on June 27, 2019 in Mesa, AZ, with her family by her side. Teresa was born in Terlingua, Texas to the late Lola and Santiago Urquieta on Oct. 15, 1934.

Our dear, gentle mother went to meet our Lord with open arms and though we are very saddened by our loss, we are comforted by the fact that she was a most faithful woman and has left us with her legacy of faith and love.

Her family moved from Texas to Superior in 1945.  Here she was raised and attended Superior schools. She married Gilbert “Huero” Denogean, her loving husband of 67 years. Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother.  Her full time job was being a homemaker and she lovingly accomplished this.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Manuel, Jose, Mario, Santiago, and her grandson, Angel Denogean.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert, her children Terri (Henry), Gilbert (Natalie), and Cynthia (Joe).  She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Henry (Irina), Brianna, Nia, Justin and her first great-grandson arriving in August.  Teresa is also survived by her sisters, Maria and Hortensia, and brother, Inez, along with many nieces and nephews.

En paz descanse Mama, we love you very much, vaya con Dios.

Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.  Viewing will take place at 9 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m., and Mass at 10 a.m., with interment following at Fairview Cemetery.

Family was taken care of with exceptional Service by Superior Funeral Home.
