Richard ‘Rick’ Jenaro Najera

  Richard “Rick” Jenaro Najera, 50, passed away peacefully at his home in San Manuel on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

  Rick is survived by his parents, Jenaro and Erma Najera; sisters, Anna Huntington and  Deborah Najera; children, Britleigh, Alyssa, Richard II and Marcus Najera; grandchildren, Maliyah Lopez and Eli Najera; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jenaro and Conception Najera and Carmen (Bob) and Keta Arbizu.

  Rick was born on Oct. 1, 1969 in San Manuel. He graduated from San Manuel High School in 1987, where he played Varsity football and wore jersey #77. After graduating, he worked at Magma/BHP for 11 years and was currently employed at the Immigration Prison in Florence.

  Rick’s passion since he was a child was hunting and fishing. He loved to share his hunting stories. He also enjoyed listening to music, cheering on the Miami Dolphins and celebrating life with his family and friends. He had a smile that would light up the room. Rick will be remembered as a loving, caring and genuine father and friend. We will miss you.

  The time and date of services are pending, but will be held at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in San Manuel.
