Rena Kathleen “Kathy” Olson, 60, of Kearny died at home on Nov. 16, 2014.
Mrs. Olson was born in Dinuba, California, to Basil Gerdine and Betty Lou (Cude) Kent. She worked for the Arizona Department of Economic Security for more than 30 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding horses. A lover of music, she enjoyed singing and dancing at family gatherings. She loved her grandchildren and the “Memaw Time” with each one.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Rodney L.; three sons, Kent Bamber of Apache Junction, Jason Olson of Wasilla, Alaska, and David Olson of Tempe; two daughters, Ryan Bamber of Florence and Anna Rose Bamber of Kearny; her mother; six brothers, Jerry Kent of Oracle, Joel Kent of Queen Creek, Steve Kent of Oracle, Jeff Kent of Gold Canyon, Linnie Kent of Cordes Junction and Jon Kent of Coolidge; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father.
The celebration of life was held Saturday, Nov. 22, at Heritage Coolidge Funeral Home.
