Calling all teen zombie enthusiasts to make zombie movies! The Town of Queen Creek and Cornerstone Church are offering a free evening of zombie fun for 7th through 12th graders on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 5-8 p.m. at the Recreation Annex located at 21802 S. Ellsworth Rd. Actors and directors are needed to help make gruesome, ghastly or drop-dead funny zombie films.

Directors are invited to bring their own scripts or come and use a provided script. Directors will compete for the grand prize of a 12 month supply of pizza from Papa Murphy’s. Actors are invited to come in costume or just show up! Make-up and props will be available for use.

Not only will Oct. 3 be night filled with frightening fun, the movies created will be debuted at the annual Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 24 at Desert Mountain Park. If you are not able to make the zombie filming night, you can still submit an entry for the Zombie Film Festival online. Entries must be appropriate, under five minutes and created by teens between the ages of 12 and 19. The deadline for submission is Monday, Oct. 19.
