Oton A. Villegas of Dudleyville passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital in Tucson on Monday, July 23, 2018. He was surrounded by his family.
Oton was born Jan. 2, 1924 in Hayden. He was in the U.S. Navy and was based in Hawaii during World War II. Oton worked for Asarco for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting and golfing. Later in his life, he enjoyed gardening and his Mary Feeds Business. Most of all, he enjoyed having his large family visit.
Oton is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel O. Villegas and Luisa Aguirre; his siblings, Mary Morales, Lupe Amador and Jesus Villegas; and his grandson, Alex Ruiz. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary; his children, Oton (Virginia) Villegas, Lilo (Carlos) Garcia, Mary Lou (Philip) Verdugo and Art (Pat) Villegas; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Services for Oton will be held at the San Pedro Valley Baptist Church In Dudleyville on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m.
Oton is already greatly missed by his family.
