Monica “Auntie Mo” Juvera, 51, passed away at her home early Tuesday morning, March 10, 2015, in Mammoth, Ariz.

She was born in San Manuel, Ariz. on Dec. 6, 1963 and resided in Mammoth all her life. Monica was preceded in death by her father, Angel  V. Juvera. She is survived by her mother, Mary M. Juvera, and three brothers, Samuel (Diane) Juvera, Joey (Mandie) Juvera, and David (Pat) Juvera. Four nephews, Aaron, Jonathan, Oscar, and Harold Juvera. Seven nieces, Graciela, Samantha, Gabrielle, Victoria, Elizabeth, Sabrina, and Isabella Juvera, and one great niece, Marissabel Juvera. Two great nephews, Gabriel and Marcos.

Monica was known by all her friends as Auntie Mo, she loved to make people laugh with her crazy sense of humor that only she had. She was one of a kind, and always had a shoulder or ear if you needed someone to talk to. She attended many events and parties for family and friends, and volunteered her time as much as possible. She was the life of the party. She enjoyed  the outdoors hunting, riding in the mountains, but her favorite was fishing! She looked forward to the weather warming up to go fish the lakes in the White Mountains. She had some fish stories…most were true. Monica also was a fan of sports, UofA and the Philadelphia Eagles were her favorites. She always tried to be at family and friends games of any sport. She loved to cheer them on, sometimes a little too much…the lady with the loud noise maker!

She beat breast cancer and had survived being on dialysis for over 30 years, a strong courageous women she was, and now she lay at rest with no more pain and her soul up in the heavens smiling down on all of us. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will forever be in our heart and mind.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Griffith Mortuary Chapel, Kearny, Ariz. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Mammoth, Ariz. with visitation at 9 a.m., Rosary at 10 a.m., Mass at 10:30 a.m. and burial followed at the Valley View Cemetery, Mammoth, Ariz.
