by Kids from the Kearny and Hayden-Winkelman Little Leagues play a fun game at the Kearny Little League field on July 4th.
The Kearny Major All-Star team was eliminated from the District 11 Tournament after a one-run, 6 – 5 loss to eventual tourney runner-up Mt. Graham on June 28.
Kearny, which opened the tournament with a loss to eventual champion Pinal Mountain, won back-to-back elimination games against San Carlos and Hayden. A third-straight elimination-game win was thwarted by Mt. Graham. Still, it was an exciting performance by the All-Stars, who are to be commended for their mental toughness and willingness to compete.
Congratulations to all of the players and coaches.
