, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Dudleyville, AZ, on Sunday, May 25, 2014.
Julia was born to Luis and Victoria Santos on Dec. 27, 1923 on Santos Ranch near Kearny, AZ. Julia went to school to the local one room school house near Kearny. Later she went to high school in California. She was called home after her mother passed away to help tend to her younger sisters and brothers. She was a wonderful mother and always loved to have something good to eat and pretty flowers in her garden.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Reynaldo L. Flores; and her son, Rey Flores Jr.; eight sisters and two brothers. She is the beloved mother of Ana F. Meza (Bill), Viola F. Cordova, Jimmy D. Garcia (Rosalie). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Lorona, Flora Chavez and Velia Montano; brothers, Arnold P. Santos, Jose “Bobby” Santos, and Rudy Santos; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hayden, AZ. Viewing is at 9 a.m., Rosary at 10 a.m., and Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Hayden, AZ.
