Henry E. ‘Loy’ Gonzales
Henry E. “Loy” Gonzales of Superior, AZ, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2018. He was 72 years old.
Henry was born on April 26, 1946 in Hernandez, NM to loving parents Luis and Frances (Gallegos) Gonzales. He moved to Arizona at the age of 2 and grew up in Arizona with 3 sisters, Mary Francis Castro Olivia Garcia, and Teresa Gonzales, and a brother, Emilio Gonzales.
Henry married his beautiful wife Maria Luevano. Together they had a son Louie Gonzales Sr. and daughter, Laura Bracamonte. Henry was a Mechanic. He worked in the copper mining business for Asarco for 30 years.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Luis, his sister Olivia, and his brother Emilio.
Henry is survived by his wife Maria, his son Louie, his daughter Laura, and his sisters Mary Francis and Teresa. He is also survived by his grandsons, Louie Gonzales Jr., Gabriel Gonzales, and James Gonzales, his great granddaughter, Allyah Gonzales, and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Henry were held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior AZ. He was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Superior, AZ.
