He was born May 19, 1928 in Yuma, AZ to Ramon and Josephina Sanchez (mother died at birth) and was raised by his aunt and uncle, Cecillo and Tula Gomez.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Esther; parents; brother, Pete Sanchez; Quata Hernandez, and Carmen Williams.
Mr. Sanchez leaves behind daughters, Pat Garcia and Delores Medina; sons, Fred Medina, Eddie Joe “Bino” Sanchez, John Sanchez and Paul Sanchez; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Eddie served in the Air Force during the war and went to ASU until he returned to the mines in Superior and San Manuel at Magma Copper Co., where he worked for 30 years.
Services for Mr. Sanchez will be held Saturday, July 18, visitation at 8 a.m., viewing at 9 a.m. and funeral at 10 a.m. at the Living Word Chapel, 3941 W. Hwy. 77, Oracle; (520) 896-2771.
