, 96, entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center. She was born on Feb. 24, 1918 in Johnson, Ariz., to Gavino and Petra Olivaz.
Dora was a member of the Catholic Church. She loved gardening, singing and was a wonderful singer, and loved to tend and spend time with her kids and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Vicente Cruz, Jr. (Mary Helen), daughter, Mary Rose Sandoval (Rafael), Michael J. Cruz Sr., and Manuel J. Cruz, Sr. (Darleen), and brother, Eddie Olivaz, 28 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vicente Cruz Sr.,son, Gavino Cruz “Chieffy”, her parents, Petra and Gavino Olivaz, sister, Susie Carrillo and brother Eloy Olivaz.
Viewing will be on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, rosary will be led at 10 a.m.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 by Rev. Father Robert Rodriguez, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
