Dora Ann Chavez

Dora Ann Chavez, 57, passed away in Mammoth on March 2, 2019, having fought her battle to the end.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel M. Chavez; her son, Manuel A. Chavez; mother-in-law, Enedina Chavez;  sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and many wonderful and amazing friends including her beautiful, loving dog Dotty that remained close to her throughout her journey.
Dora graduated from San Manuel High School in 1979, before going on to earn an AA from Central Arizona College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Troy University. She worked at Magma Copper Company/BHP for 22 years and 10 years at Pinal County as an HR Analyst.

Dora loved cooking and baking, watching the cooking channels sharing the recipes with her family and friends and loved the art of making crafts. She loved her family immensely and was the family member that entertained at family gatherings with her games and laughter. She loved making  holiday crafts for her husband Manny’s students.
Dora loved the Lord and was very active in her Church.  She was also an active member of the Tri-Community as a loving, giving, graceful and courageous person. Others came first before herself. We will miss her tremendously.  “Vaya Con Dios”

Services will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 122 W. Church Drive in Mammoth on Saturday, March 16. Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m., prior to the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery in Mammoth.
