The Jr. Panthers suffered a surprising 10 – 0 loss against San Manuel last week. With the playoffs beginning Wednesday, Apr. 24, 2013, the Jr. Panthers must return to their style of aggressive softball to achieve the success their accustomed to.

Head coach Joseph Lopez said the team was disappointed in their performance and acknowledged games such as the loss to San Manuel can prove to be a learning experience.

“We just had a bad day,” Lopez said. “But we are looking forward to playing our kind of softball in the playoffs.”

After a shut-out loss it’s difficult to find many bright spots, however Coach Lopez said Analyses Juarez played well defensively at catcher.

The Jr. Panthers will now look forward to the playoffs as the fourth-seeded team. They will host a playoff game on Apr. 24 against an opponent yet to be determined. If they win their first-round playoff game, they will play a second-round game on Saturday, Apr. 27, 2013.
