According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates. Aug. 12
Vandalism was reported to the old Hayden High School on Utah in Hayden. A window had been broken out and hundreds of paper drinking cups were thrown inside and all over the fenced in yard area.
A child was reported missing in Winkelman. The child was found and returned to the home.
Aug. 14
A 911 hang-up was received. Upon arrival a female and male were involved in an argument.
A 911 hang-up was received. Upon arrival the home owner was contacted and everything was okay.
Aug. 15
A brush fire was reported near the Copper Basin Rail Yard.
A 911 hang-up was received. Call back had static and busy signal. Upon arrival the residents reported they do not have a land line. The house and occupants appeared to be okay. Possibly weather related.
