Softball – The young Panthers loss to a very talented Coolidge team on Apr. 2. After trailing early in the game, the Panthers made a thrilling comeback before losing, 14 – 12. It was clear during the game that the Panthers have plenty of young players who can hit. Coach Lopez said the team attending a hitting camp hosted by Arizona State Head Softball Coach Clint Myers. The Panthers’ hitters really benefited from the camp and it’s showing in their performance. The Panthers play the first of four consecutive home games on Apr. 9 vs. Salt River. They follow up with games on Apr. 12 vs. Florence, Apr. 16 vs. Ray, and Apr. 18 vs. San Carlos.

 Baseball – The Panthers suffered two close losses to San Manuel, 5 – 3, and St. Johns, 7 – 6. They will attempt to end their two-game losing streak as they play a three game series versus Hayden this week, including a double header on Apr. 10. The will take on Hayden again on Apr. 11 before a game against Ray on Apr. 16.
