Winning streak for Lady Miners; wins posted over Ray, Hayden, ASDB

San Manuel Miner

The Miners’ girls’ team has won its last three games and four of its last six. Coach Jungbluth’s team has a record of 5 – 3 with four games to play before the holiday break.

The Miners defeated Ray (36 – 24), Hayden (50 – 14), and the Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind (37 – 25) last week. Senior Angelica Zuniga recorded a double-double in each of the three games by averaging 21.3 ppg and 12.3 rpg. Senior Analisa Robles led the team with seven assists in the win over Ray while junior Kadi Monfred had three assists to lead the team versus Hayden. Monfred also had three assists to lead the team in the victory over the Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind.

The Miners will look to extend their winning streak with games against Superior (Dec. 10) and Santa Cruz Valley (Dec. 13) this week. Both games are at San Manuel HS and begin at 5:30 p.m.
