Trust in the Lord

One interesting aspect of people, is that we always look to others as a source of information, ideas and guidance.  The question comes up, are we looking in the wrong direction?  Possibly.

We read in Isaiah 33:6, “The LORD is a rich supply of salvation and wisdom and knowledge.”  We understand that God, because He is God, does not lie.  Man usually tends to deviate from the truth.  So yes, we normally seek uncertain and incorrect advice.

The New Testament writer, James, told us to ask the Lord if we need wisdom.  He was pointing us in the right direction for advice on how to live our lives.  Bad advice from well-intentioned friends often causes us to lose our way.  God’s advice, guidance and direction is always correct and timely.

The Scriptures tell us to seek the Lord and to call upon Him when we need help.  He loves each of us very much.  He will not give us a stone to eat when we have asked Him for bread.  Instead, He blesses us and supplies our every need.

Trust in the Lord for all your needs, wants and desires.  Lean on Him in times of stress and anxiety.  Psalm 23, the Shepherd’s Psalm, explains how much God loves us and cares about us.  He always leads, guides and restores.  We have nothing to lose or fear, for God is on our side!
