Superior softball posts win over Florence; girls ranked eighth

Softball – After an 11 – 5 loss to Salt River on Apr. 9, the Panthers rebounded with a win against Florence, 15 – 9. The Panthers’ offense continues to be the strength of the team. The Panthers record is 6 – 6 and look to get above .500 in their next contest versus Ray on Apr. 16. That game will be a matchup of top ten teams in Section II rankings. Ray is fifth and Superior is eighth. Upcoming schedule: Apr. 16 vs. Ray, Apr. 18 vs. San Carlos, Apr. 19 @ Ray, Apr. 23 @ Salt River, and Apr. 24 @ Duncan.

Baseball – The Panthers split two games with Hayden last week. They won, 5 – 2, on Apr. 10 and lost, 7 – 0, on Apr. 11. The Panthers will next play Ray on Apr. 16 before finish their regular season with the following games: Apr. 18 vs. San Carlos, Apr. 19 @ Ray, and Apr. 23 vs. Florence.
