SPATS presents HA! A comedy by Rich Orloff

Oracle – The San Pedro Actors Troupe (SPATS) theater in Oracle, located at 730 E. American Ave., has plans to tickle your funny bone every weekend throughout the rest of April, with Ha!, a three-part collection of Rich Orloff’s most popular one-act comedies.

Oedi is a farcical retelling of the Oedipus Rex story, which faces the overlooked fact that if Oedipus Rex married his mother, then she had to be old enough to be his mother.

The News from St. Petersburg is a Chekhovian spoof set in 1905 Russia, which examines the effect of a rumor on an aristocratic couple, their doctor, and an overworked and temporarily overjoyed serf.

The Whole Shebang asks the question “What if the entire universe was just some nerd’s science project?”

Theater Online says of Ha!”Deliciously satisfying. Buoyant, funny and occasionally quite touching. Somewhere between Mel Brooks and Christopher Durang lies the talented Rich Orloff, and the world is all the better for it.”

Come share in the laughter on Fri. and Sat., Apr. 12 -13, 19 -20, and 26 -27 at 7 pm; or Sun. 14, 21 and 28 at 2 pm. Cost is $15, with a $1 refund at the door if you bring a Food Bank donations. To reserve your tickets, call 520-896-9496.
