Pinal County Sheriff’s Report

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Report is taken from the daily logs, based on the information provided by deputies. All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Feb. 8

Eduardo C. Apodaca, 25, Superior, was arrested in the 800 block of W. Highway 60, Superior, on a failure to appear warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

A nine-year-old was reported by Oro Valley Hospital as having been shot with a pellet gun, sustaining minor injuries. The deputy spoke with the child and learned that the boy’s cousin shot him accidentally. The incident was ruled an accident.

A runaway juvenile was reported in the 900 block of S. El Camino Viejo, Queen Valley. The child was previously suspended from school, got on the school bus and never came home.

Assault was reported in the 21000 block of S. Texas Sage Dr., SaddleBrooke.

Assault of a child was reported at the Salt N Pepper store, San Manuel. A child was hit on the head by an adult.

Feb. 9

John Stewart Arnold, 22, SaddleBrooke, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

Joseph Gilbert I. Hernandez, 26, Superior, was arrested on four failure to appear warrants. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Twice PCSO dispatch received reports of semi-automatic gun fire in the Aravaipa area, near the 3300 block of S. Arcadia Ave. and the 79000 block of E. Tejas St., Aravaipa. The deputy responding to the area was unable to locate the source of the noise.

Burglary was reported on N. Highway 177, one mile west of Hayden. The property stolen was described as “heavy items from the railroad.”

Information was sought by a resident in the 200 block of E. Donna Dr., Queen Valley, on mailing a gun to the residence. The person was told that federal law dictates that the firearm has to be disassembled to a point that a weapon could not be built from a single package (barrel, frame and slide in different packages). The person was then told to ship it via UPS for greater convenience.

A dog bite was reported in the area of S. Highway 79 and S. Falcon Valley Ranch Rd., SaddleBrooke.

Feb. 10

A rancher in the 5000 block of N. Dudleyville Rd., Dudleyville, reported that two of his goats were maimed (cut).

Assault was reported in the 9500 block of N. Manzano Rd., Dudleyville.

Feb. 11

Theft of camera equipment was reported in the area of Highway 77, Dudleyville.

A juvenile was reported as a runaway in the 900 block of S. El Camino Viejo, Queen Valley.

A traffic accident with injuries was reported in the 40000 block of S. Ridgeview Blvd., SaddleBrooke. A golf cart flipped onto its side and an older male was injured.

Theft of a jackhammer was reported in the 21000 block of S. Shootingstar Rd., SaddleBrooke.

Feb. 13

Rebecca May-Elizabeth Fawley, 22, Vancouver, BC, Canada, was arrested in the 39000 block of S. Lago Del Oro, SaddleBrooke, and was charged with criminal damage and disorderly conduct. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Theft of a vehicle was reported in the 36000 block of S. Desert Sun Dr., SaddleBrooke. The owner called back and asked PCSO to disregard because the vehicle had been located, parked on the street.

A dog bite was reported in the area of S. Avenue A and W. Fourth Ave., San Manuel.

Theft of a vehicle was reported in the area of N. Silver King Mine Rd. and E. Apache Tear Rd., Superior. The vehicle was described as a champagne colored 2011 Buick Enclave.

Feb. 14

William Richard Plyler, 38, Dudleyville, was arrested in the area of Leadville Rd. and Highway 77, Dudleyville, on a warrant for failure to comply with a court order. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.
