Pinal County Sheriff’s Report

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Report is taken from the daily logs, based on the information provided by deputies. All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Dec. 6

Criminal damage was reported in the 39000 block of S. Mountain Shadow Dr., Eagle Crest. A mailbox was damaged.

What was first reported as a burglary in the 200 block of E. Fifth St., San Manuel, was later determined to be a hit and run accident. The APS power pole at the corner of Fifth St. and Avenue C was knocked over. A second report of reckless driving was received on the same accident. The vehicle was described as a 2004 Honda CRV. A fire hydrant was also damaged in the incident. The driver, identified as Samuel David Riney, 22, San Manuel, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear and interfering with judicial proceedings issued out of the Oracle Justice Court. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence. He was also cited for driving on a suspended license, failure to control speed to avoid a collision, criminal damage, leaving the scene of an accident and no current insurance.

Dec. 7

Theft was reported in the 6500 block of N. Pebbles Pkwy., Dudleyville. The report was later determined to be a civil matter.

Theft of a wallet was reported in the 200 block of E. Fourth St., San Manuel.

Dec. 8

Theft of a generator, golf clubs and other items was reported in the 200 block of N. Nichols Ave., San Manuel.

A vehicle fire was reported in the area of E. Webb Rd., San Manuel.

An accident with injuries was reported in the 400 block of S. McNab Pkwy., San Manuel. A vehicle crashed into a garage and the driver sustained injuries.

Dec. 9

Joseph Lee Cogdell, 23, Oracle, was arrested in the 2100 block of W. American Ave., Oracle, and was charged with disorderly conduct, aggravated harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Theft of a distributor cap was reported in the 200 block of E. Fifth St., San Manuel.

Deputies cited a driver in the 600 block of W. Sixth Ave., San Manuel, for displaying fictitious license plates.

Dec. 10

Criminal damage was reported in the area of N. Rockliffe Blvd. and W. Oracle Ranch Rd., Oracle. A driver ran over a construction sign, damaging it.

Theft of jewelry was reported in the 39000 block of S. Winding Trail Dr., SaddleBrooke.

Criminal damage to a wood fence was reported in the 600 block of W. Webb Dr., San Manuel.

Dec. 11

Assault was reported in the 36000 block of S. Mt. Lemmon Rd., Oracle.

Theft of a shotgun was reported in the 200 block of S. Avenue A, San Manuel. The shotgun was described as a Remington 16 gauge auto/shotgun with a scope. Also discovered missing were a .22 auto/rifle of unknown make and a Mikita power drill.

Burglary was reported in the 200 block of E. Fifth St., San Manuel.

Dec. 12

Estevan Daniel Garcia, 29, Winkelman, was arrested at milepost 93 on Highway 77, Oracle, and was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Theft of a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of S. Tierra Verde Pl., San Manuel. The vehicle was described as a blue 1997 Ford Taurus.

Theft of a cell phone was reported in the 200 block of S. Avenue B, San Manuel.
