The Arizona Department of Transportation will intermittently close sections of State Routes 77 and 79 and US 60 in Pinal County during the next two months to apply oil to rejuvenate and preserve the roadway surface.
The roadway will be closed in one direction at a time from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Alternating traffic will be directed through the work zone by construction crews using a pilot vehicle. The work is scheduled next week as follows:
• Tuesday (May 8) and Wednesday (May 9)
Northbound and southbound SR 77, just east of Oracle Junction, will be intermittently closed for approximately two miles from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Crews will be on site to direct traffic and message boards will guide drivers through the area. Drivers should expect up to 10 minute delays.
