San Manuel Miner
The San Manuel High School varsity Cross Country team traveled up Highway 77 to compete in the Globe Cross Country Invitational.
The Miners Boys team finished in second place overall. Miner boys medaling at the Globe Invitational were: Patrick Lopez who finished in fifth place; James Duarte who finished in seventh place; Colton Stratton who finished in eighth place; Jared Gonzales who finished in 11th place; and Marcos Parra who finished in 15th place.
Other finishers were: in 19th place Nathaniel Lopez; in 27th place Colbey Stratton; in 29th place Carlos Salas; and in 34th place Taylor Woods.
In the Girls’ competition, finishing in the top 10 were: Andrea Castaneda first place; Amara Apuron fourth place; Diana Medina fifth place; and eighth place Ronzi Carbajal.
The Miners will travel to Wilcox on Wednesday with a start time of 3 p.m.
