San Manuel Miner

The San Manuel High School varsity Cross Country team traveled up Highway 77 to compete in the Globe Cross Country Invitational.

The Miners Boys team finished in second place overall. Miner boys medaling at the Globe Invitational were: Patrick Lopez who finished in fifth place; James Duarte who finished in seventh place; Colton Stratton who finished in eighth place; Jared Gonzales who finished in 11^th place; and Marcos Parra who finished in 15^th place.

Other finishers were: in 19^th place Nathaniel Lopez; in 27^th place Colbey Stratton; in 29^th place Carlos Salas; and in 34^th place Taylor Woods.

In the Girls’ competition, finishing in the top 10 were: Andrea Castaneda first place; Amara Apuron fourth place; Diana Medina fifth place; and eighth place Ronzi Carbajal.

The Miners will travel to Wilcox on Wednesday with a start time of 3 p.m.
