Cornhole, horseshoe tournaments to benefit Superior youth

Join the Superior Optimist Club this weekend, Saturday, Apr. 13, for a cornhole tournament with proceeds helping the Optimist Club to purchase the laptops for honor roll students and to fund other community programs.

Registration for the tournament will begin at 11 a.m. at the US-60 Park. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. Registration is $20 per team and food and raffle tickets will be sold.

On Saturday, Apr. 20, there will be a horseshoe tournament for Caesar Villalobos, who was nominated to attend the Down Under Football game in Australia this summer.

Valerie, his mother, explained he needs about $2,500 more dollars to attend.

The tournament will also be held at the US 60 park. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the tournament will start at 2 p.m. Registration is $20 per team. Food and raffle tickets will be sold.
