Miner Publisher James Carnes was on hand late Thursday afternoon in Oracle when a storm-blown visitor from another part of the country was found wandering around near Highway 77.
Arizona Department of Public Safety Sergeant Vern Havens said this guy is a pelican and helped to keep traffic slow until wildlife rehabilitation expert Kathie Schroeder arrived to take custody of the wandering one.
Also on hand were travellers Don and Sheila Goetz.
