Thomas (Tom) Gilman Jr., 45, passed away unexpectedly in San Tan Valley on Jan. 4, 2022. He was born to Thomas Sr. and Charlene Gilman.

Tom is preceded in death by his father Thomas Gilman Sr. and his mother Charlene Gilman.

He is survived by his sister, Rebecca Holmes; daughter, Sierra (Grant) Micheau; sons, Sean and Ryan Gilman; grandson, Silas Micheau; aunt, Ellen (Mike) Nugent; and cousins, Rose Bunch, Ann (Paul) Long and Michael (Jackie) Nugent.

Tom spent his life doing various mechanical work, mining, and construction. He loved vehicles, heavy equipment, and every mechanical aspect in between He also enjoyed fishing and spending time on the water in his boat. When he wasn’t working or enjoying one of his many hobbies, Tom was enjoying time with his family or his many friends.

He was a very proud and devoted father, his children always being his #1 priority, along with his first and only grandson. Tom was also a dedicated brother to his younger sister, Rebecca.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing he has been reunited with his mother Charlene and father Thomas Sr.

Services were held in Gilbert on Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. Place of burial is to be decided. In lieu of flowers, please just say a prayer for Tom’s family in their time of immense grief.
