The Mammoth Senior Citizens have organized a swap meet/farmers market to be held at the Miner’s Memorial on Highway 77 on Mar. 1 and 2 with all the proceeds to benefit the Mammoth Senior Citizens.
They have contacted many members of the community from Oracle, San Manuel, Winkelman, Kearny and Mammoth and invited them to participate in two days of fun, food, arts and crafts, entertainment and bargain shopping set at a great location with a wonderful view of the Galiuro Mountains.
Vendors from Tucson and the surrounding communities are expected to participante, and state Senator Barbara McGuire is scheduled to be in attendance, and entertainment is currently being booked.
Vendors are welcome. It will be $5 per day to set up a table or booth. There are five tables at the Miners Memorial which can be rented for $10 a day by food vendors only. The tables are available on a first come basis.
The organizing of the swap meet has been a combined effort of Lynn Zeiler, Vice Mayor Francis Wickham, and Council member Gina Medina. “We hope that our communities come out on these two days, enjoy the day and our community,” Lynn Zeiler said.
The Swap Meet will be March 1 and 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration and set up begins at 8 a.m. If there is a good turnout for the swap meet, the Senior Citizens will look at making it a monthly affair.
