The Superior Unified School District Governing Board will participate in Legendary Teacher Day. The announcement was made at its meeting Aug. 4.

The Legendary Teacher Day program is designed to recognize a teacher in our lives that made a significant difference. The District encourages stakeholders (teachers, students, parents, and community) to submit an online RECOGNITION of their Legendary Teacher by going online and completing a tribute.

  The website is: https://www.legendaryteacher.com/Tribute.

Legendary Teacher HONOREES can include current teachers and retired teachers.

The deadline for tributes to be considered for the Legendary Teacher Day recognition will be

Sept. 10, 2021.

Following the deadline, tributes will be retrieved from the database.  A committee from the

Teachers Change Brains Foundation shall select an honoree from each of the participating d    districts.

The chosen ‘honoree’ submissions shall be made available to the participating district on or before Sept. 14, 2021.

Each District Legendary Teacher Honoree (selected) will receive the following; $200 honorarium, a certificate of recognition including the tribute from the submitter, and a signed copy of Legendary Teacher Stories – How to Catch a Swamp Frog.

The Teachers Change Brains Foundation remains grateful for the sponsorship and support from Northern Arizona University College of Education, Teachers Change Brains, Inc. (501(c)3 non-profit), and School Webmasters.
