The San Manuel football team continued its winning streak with a victory over Fort Thomas.

During last Friday’s away game, the Miners came out ready to play, and ended the game with a final score of 64-12.

Head coach Ernie Ivy praised Noah Huerta and Nico Velasquez for playing a good game. Coach Ivy also gave recognition to the offensive line, for opening holes for the running-backs and giving the quarterback more time to throw the ball.

“It’s homecoming week, we need to stay focused,” Coach Ivy commented. “St. David is a good team, and senior strong this year. If we stay focused and do our job, we can come out on top.”

The San Manuel Homecoming game will be held on Oct. 1, with a kick-off time scheduled for 7 p.m.
