Political signs defaced and destroyed

It shouldn’t matter to which political party you belong, everyone seeing these photos should be outraged. On Saturday during the annual Oracle Run, several political candidate and proposition signs were discovered removed from where they had been placed, torn into pieces and left to be found inside portable toilets set up for use by those competing in the Oracle Run. Two citizens called the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident. According to Arizona Revised Statute 16-1019, ‘It is a class 2 misdemeanor for any person to knowingly remove, alter, deface or cover any political sign of any candidate for public office or in support of or opposition to any ballot measure, question or issue.’
