Overnight accident leaves truck driver injured, roadway covered in paint

  An overnight accident on Highway 177 at milepost 159 between Kearny and Superior has left the driver injured and blocked the roadway from 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, until after 1 a.m. Thursday morning, Aug. 12.

  According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the one-vehicle injury accident involved a semi-truck hauling a load of five-gallon buckets of paint. Paint buckets were dumped off the side of the roadway and paint splattered the road and guardrails near the accident site. The extent of the driver’s injuries were unknown.
