Miner Spiritline earn honors at Gila Valley Invitational

The San Manuel Spiritline earned third place honors in two of three categories at the Fourth Annual Gila Valley Spiritline Invitational on Feb. 1, 2014.

The team placed in the Show Cheer and Pom categories. The team placed fourth in the Theme category. It was their first-ever Theme routine. A total of nine teams competed at the invitational.

“The Spiritline practiced hard on their three different routines,” said their coach Liz Zazueta. “Their hard work paid off when they were handed their placement trophies.”

Members of the Spiritline include co-captains: Melissa Flores (Sr) and Sabrina Robles (So) along with Megan Garcia (Sr), Ginna Ibarra (So), Angela Navarro (So), and Brianna Madrid (Fr). The team is coached by Liz Zazueta and Genevieve Burnham.
