Mary Lou Naranjo, 82, of Kearny, Arizona passed away on April 16, 2021.

Mary was born Aug. 20, 1938 in Gallup, New Mexico. She was married to Liberato (Levy) Naranjo who passed away in March of 2001.

Mary was loved by many people. She worked at Ray High School as a custodian and also at El Sornorense in Kearny.

She is survived by her children, Nick Naranjo, Nettie Naranjo, Georgiana Gantt, Stephen Naranjo, and Gina Garcia; grandchildren, Nathan Naranjo Sr., Justin Chavez, Matthew Naranjo, Triston Gantt, Katlyn Gantt, and Tracon Naranjo; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Nicolette, Nathan Jr., and Jenesa Naranjo; and sister, Irene Naranjo.

Mary could light up a room with her contagious laughter, amazing cooking abilities, and her quick-witted ways. Many were drawn to her and feel incredibly blessed to have known her, even luckier to call her a friend. She had many talents that she passed on to her children and grandchildren such as cooking, baking, and crocheting. She loved being surrounded by her family, especially during the holidays. Mary was the matriarch of the Naranjo Family. She was an angel on earth, but the Lord has called her home. Mary you will truly be missed. Te Quiero Muncho.

Services were held Saturday, April 21, 2021, at Griffith Mortuary. She was laid to rest at Kearny Memorial Cemetery.
