Local couple celebrates 61st wedding anniversary

On June 29, 1952, the first aircraft carrier sailed around Cape Horn-Oriskany. Louise Suggs won the seventh US Women’s Open Golf Championship. And English snooker player Joe Johnson celebrated his birthday.

More importantly, though, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gonzales became Mr. and Mrs.

Their family, including Lydia Dominguez and her family, the Gozales sisters and all their nieces and nephews, are so very proud of the happy couple who live in Kearny and are glad to celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary.
