  Johnny Pacheco 86, of Kearny, AZ, born Jan. 27, 1935, in Dos Cabezas, AZ, passed away on Aug. 31, 2021, in Mesa AZ.

   Johnny worked for Kennecott Copper Company and ASARCO as a cost accountant for over 30 years. He also served his country in the United States Air Force, stationed in Homestead, FL and serving a tour in Okinawa, Japan. 

  Johnny served the Kearny community by volunteering his time as Vice President of the Kearny Little League in the early 70s and was a volunteer bookkeeper for the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church.

  He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Mary Pacheco, his sister, Olivia Nastri (Emil), and brother, Frank Mendoza.

  He was the beloved father of three; Ruben (Valerie), John, Rene (Rochelle); grandfather to seven, Ruben, Preston, Eric, Paige, Derek, Rece, Jaylen; and seven great grandchildren, Sloane, Naya, Kinsley, Willow, Monroe, Henley, Blaise.

  He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Mary Mendoza, and brother Armando Mendoza. 

  A memorial mass was held at the Infant Jesus of Prague Church in Kearny AZ on Sept. 4, 2021.
