County School Superintendent, Jill Broussard reviewed the application and interviewed Mrs. Ramirez before making a final decision. Ramirez was also required to pass a background check to be appointed to the board.

Catherine Ramirez is married to Greg. They have two children, James who is 22 and Gregory who is 10 and in the 5th grade. She is a 1991 graduate of Superior High School and is currently employed at Superstition Mountain Dental in Gold Canyon.

Ramirez has always been an involved parent at the district, she gives several hours of her time every week to volunteering at the school and she is excited to have this opportunity to serve the school and the community in a great capacity.
