If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, the Elk’s Club in San Manuel has a few suggestions! On Fri., Sept. 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., they’re holding an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner with Texas toast, salad and dessert included for $8.

Right after the spaghetti dinner, the annual San Manuel Can Sing Karaoke Contest starts at 7:30 p.m. Each contestant will perform two songs of their own choice and one randomly assigned by computer.

Participation is free and there is a $75 first prize, $50 second prize and $25 third prize. Registration forms and rules can be picked up at the Elk’s Lodge, but cut-off for registration will be at 6:30 p.m. on Fri.

On Sat., Sept. 15, starting at 12:00 p.m., the Elks’ is holding a San Manuel Community Day which will include raffles, prizes, games and a watermelon eating contest for the kids. Food and drink will be provided.

The second annual Tug of War Pull-Off will begin at 2:30 p.m. There’s a $25 registration fee for each eight-person team including the coach. It’s the best two out of three pulls and the winning team gets the Traveling Plaque with their names engraved and a refund of their entry fee.

Continuing the fun into the evening, there will be a pool tournament at the Elk’s starting at 6:00 p.m. for those who aren’t ready for the day to end quite yet.
