Robert Rodolfo Tafoya, 62, passed away on March 11, 2013 in Round Mountain, Nevada.
He was born Aug. 8, 1950 in New Mexico. Robert grew up in Oracle and graduated from San Manuel High School.
He was very proud to have served in the US Navy for four years, just as his father had done. He lived in Bakersfield, CA for many years but always made sure to visit and keep in touch with all of his family and friends that were spread across different states.
He loved to run marathons, hunt, and travel to share good times with good people. He spent his final days in Round Mountain, NV where he worked for Kinross gold mine.
We will always remember him as a great man who was kind, generous, and the life of the party.
He is survived by his siblings, Alice, Paul, Joe, and a long list of family and friends.
Robert was considered a Good Samaritan, and for that he is a hero to us all.
A memorial service for Robert will be held Sat. March 23, 2013 1:00 p.m. at Living Word Chapel, 3941 W. Highway 77 in Oracle.
