Vivian D. Valenzuela, born Dec. 2, 1942, entered the home God especially prepared for her in Heaven on Feb. 15, 2013.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Ed Valenzuela; daughters, Rebecca (Daniel), Regina (Larry), and Virginia; son Eddie (Esther); mother, Dolores Pena; sister, Erlinda Romero; brothers, Paul Villarreal (Sue), Robert Garcia, Ray Pena (Marcie) and Ralph Pena; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; in-laws, Erlinda Ochoa, Isabel Stubblefield, Richard Valenzuela (Helen), Fred Valenzuela (Pat)
Vivian is preceded in death by her father Paul Villarreal, stepfather Ray Pena, and brother Frank Villarreal.
Vivian was a devoted homemaker and mother. Her family was her life. She was a tremendous cook and taught her husband the art of cooking. She had a great love of arts, music and was a talented dancer. She was an active member of Living Word Chapel, for many years she volunteered and had Bible classes at Juvenile Detention Center in Catalina. Before she stopped volunteering she was recognized by the State of Arizona as volunteer of the year. She also loved her extended family the Living Word Congregation and her best friend Betty Saunders.
Vivian had much support from friends and family during her illness as well as from Hospice Family Care; Northwest Allied Physicians, Dr. Hugh Christensen and Staff; Dr. Gilliam and Staff.
A Funeral Service was held at Living Word Chapel in Oracle on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements under the care of VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME (520) 544-2285.
