Despite some tough losses in a rebuilding season, the Panthers have had some worthy individual performances throughout the season. Junior Matthew Zavala scored a team-high 13 points in a 42 – 36 loss to the San Manuel Miners on January 15, 2014. It was the fifth time Zavala scored in double figures this season.

Freshman Nicolaus Cruz added 9 points and a team-high 7 rebounds. The performances of Zavala and Cruz were not enough to top the Miners.

The Panthers have six games remaining on their regular season schedule and the focus in those contests will be to continue gaining valuable experience that will benefit them in the future.

Their upcoming schedule includes games at Joseph City (Jan. 24) and home versus Hayden (Jan. 28). Both games tipoff at 7:00 p.m.
