Yvonne “Bonnie” Marquez Ivy, age 54, passed away early morning, Sun., Nov. 24, 2013 with her beloved husband at her side. She was born on November 10, 1959 in San Manuel.
She is preceded in death by her father, Juan “Neto” Marquez and grandson, Easton Smith. She is survived by her husband, Richard C. Ivy; daughter, Monique Marquez of San Manuel; sons, Adrian Marquez of San Manuel and Chris Smith of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jacob Marquez and Biance Guerrero of San Manuel, and Kiera and Kathryn Smith of Oklahoma; her mother, Petra Marquez of San Manuel; brothers, Bobby (Evelyn) Rangel and Ternie (Ruth) of Lordsburg, New Mexico, Arthur (Carol) Marquez of Queen Creek, David (Lisa) Marquez of Tucson; sisters, Becky (Tom) of Lordsburg, New Mexico and Tricia of San Manuel; and, many nephews and nieces.
Yvonne was employed at the Mammoth/San Manuel School District and was the former owner of Bonnie’s Cafe. She loved country music and especially loved supporting her husband and grandchildren at any sporting event.
She was a very loving and giving person, and will always be remembered at Christmas time, when she would make her Santa and snowmen cookies for all of her family and friends.
Bonnie’s Rosary and Mass was held at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in San Manuel on Sat., Nov. 30 and will later be laid to rest at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, next to her father.
