San Manuel Varsity wrestling head coach Daniel Najera announced that three young wrestlers from the Tri-Community advanced to the medal rounds at 2014 USA Wrestling Folkstyle State Championships. The event took place in Casa Grande March 28-30.
Samico Salazar, who wrestled in the 65-pound weight class, won the State Championship in his weight class. Charles Croci (63 lbs) finished 2nd and Daniel Najera (50 lbs) finished 4th..
The three wrestlers are members of the MSM Community Schools wrestling program. Congratulations to the three boys who were rewarded for their hard work and dedication.
