Last week’s monsoon storms caused cars to hydroplane and crash and sent great floods of water to close roads.
In Mammoth on Wednesday, most of the town below Highway 77 was inaccessible due to flash flooding through the streets. Kino Street between the Little League field and the Pinal County Courthouse had to be cleared several times by Town of Mammoth crews due to the amount of dirt and rocks carried down the road by flash flooding. Likewise, Third Street and Main Street had to be cleared of the debris flooding waters brought down on those roads.
One resident of Mammoth reported that she had recorded more than six inches of rainfall from Tuesday through Friday.
In Dudleyville Thursday morning, standing water on Highway 77 caused one vehicle to hydroplane, spin out and land in a ditch. The driver was uninjured in the accident, but reported that at least one other vehicle seemed to hydroplane in the same spot before its tires caught the pavement, avoiding a spin out and crash.
In San Manuel Thursday, both Redington (Veterans Memorial Highway) at the San Manuel Airport road and Old Webb Road were closed after a flash flood washed across both roads, cutting off outside access to the town. Veterans Memorial Highway closed for a couple of hours until the waters subsided enough to allow traffic to cross. Webb Road remained closed for some time after.

MammothArea
• Copper Creek Road from Bluebird Street to River Road-San Pedro River Running

Pinal County Public Works is asking residents to contact them at (520) 866-6411 or email them at pcroadmaintenance@pinalcountyaz.gov if there is any debris on county roads or if road repairs are needed.
Please provide the following information:
• Name of road
• Between what cross streets (example: Thistle Road to Johnson Ranch Boulevard)
• Specifics about the problem (debris in road, tree limbs in road, road flooded or washed out, signs down, traffic signal not functioning, etc.)
• Your name
• A phone number to contact you if we need further information
