The White Bell Soap Company was started by two Oracle sisters. Diana White and Bethany Bell. The business offers handcrafted goat milk soap and soy candles.
“The company started as a fun and useful way to spend time together,” said Diana White.
Both families have members with skin sensitivities. Bethany and Diana experimented with goat milk soap to successfully address the sensitivity problems. After years of trial and error, they were so thrilled with the results that they wanted to share it with others.
The White Bell Soap Company is a family affair with both families involved in the work needed to make their products. Bethany has a herd of eight Toggenburg goats on her property in Benson, Arizona, four of which are in milk. The goats are milked daily by either Bethany or one of her sons, Partner age 9 or Preston 7. Testing is done by Diana, her husband Jason, daughters Rachel 6, Natalie 4, Bethany, her husband Jesse, Abby 3 and Marshall 10 months. Family members also help with processing, packaging and sales.
Goat’s milk is renowned for its gentle cleansing and skin nurturing abilities. The White Bell Soap Company makes its soap through the “careful mining of goat milk, lye and oils.” Raw goat’s milk is blended with olive, coconut and castor oils as well as unrefined shea butter to create a simple soap that works. Their soap does not contain sulphates, phosphates, parabens or dyes. The soap comes in 20 different scents.
“We love our soap and you will too!”
Crafted soy candles are also available. The candles are made with 100% USA sourced soy wax and cotton wicks that are free of heavy metals or lead. Their soy candles typically burn twice as long as traditional candles. They are available in a variety of scents. Special orders are available.
The White Bell Soap Company products are available at Jules Salon and at the Wednesday evening Farmers Market at Sue & Jerry’s Trading Post in Oracle. They are also sold at the Friday farmers market at Trail Dust Town in Tucson. Their products will be available at a couple of other locations in Tucson and via a website soon.
