Wayne Newman earns Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Wayne Newman

  Wayne Newman graduated from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee on May 6, 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. He was recognized with an award for his compassion and competence by the nursing faculty on May 5, 2017 at his pinning ceremony.

  Wayne is a 2013 graduate of San Manuel High School where he won several Arizona state championships in track during high school and was co-Valedictorian. He also won high school swimming championships in the 100 breast stroke.

  Wayne is a four-time champion of the Atlantic Sun Track and Field Conference in the 60 indoor hurdles. He set a new hurdles record this year at the Atlantic Sun Track and Field Indoor Championships to garner the Most Outstanding Track Performer. He also earned his second Outdoor Atlantic Sun Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the year honor as five Lipscomb track and field athletes earned academic nods.
